• Job Details:As a behavioral therapist providing in-home services for children with autism, I work closely with each child to implement individualized therapeutic strategies designed to enhance their communication, social, and behavioral skills. My role involves observing the child’s behavior in their natural environment, identifying areas of need, and utilizing evidence-based interventions, such as Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), to encourage positive behaviors and reduce challenging ones. I collaborate with families to establish goals tailored to the child’s unique needs and consistently monitor progress, adjusting strategies as necessary. This includes creating a structured yet flexible routine, using reinforcement techniques, and teaching essential life skills like self-regulation, social interaction, and effective communication. I also educate parents and caregivers, providing them with tools and strategies to support the child’s development outside of therapy sessions.
