Rig Senior Electrician Full Time

• Job Details:- Working as an engineer who is responsible for maintaining the Rig equipment like Top Drive System (Mechanism, Hydraulic and PLC). Troubleshooting the failures immediately, which happen in any electrical equipment such as Diesel Engines, Pumps, DC motors and any electrical board, and other electrical works like whole electricity feeding the rig and the camp. ** working in many rigs including super rigs and work over rigs - To ensure that all maintenance work is performed safely, and in accordance with statutory and company regulations and good engineering practice. - To liaise with the Maintenance Supervisor regarding maintenance / repairs and planning ahead so as to maximize operational up-time. - Use preventative maintenance program in accordance with Company requirements and as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor. - Complete Daily Operations Report, PM Job Cards, Daily Handover Log accurately and with useful information. - Ensure there is always an adequate stock of parts, tools and consumables required to maintain the equipment for which they are responsible. - Carry out and record isolations to electrical powered equipment to be worked on by himself and others under his supervision in accordance with the requirements of the Permit to Work System. - Feedback information required for updating of any drawings, sketches or information on existing and replacement equipment. - Compiling a concise hand-over log, (End of Trip Report) for his relief at crew change, and forwarding a copy to the Maintenance Supervisor. - Offer technical assistance and electrical back-up as may be required for the safe operation of any equipment on the installation. - Carry out tasks as part of a multi-discipline maintenance team as operational requirements dictate. - Mentor any Assistant Electrician as required. - Attend at company base or client premises, meetings and additional training, as may be required.
