    • Job Details:So, what will I actually be doing? Not everyone walks into a travel agency with a clear idea of where they’d like to go on holiday, so one of your main roles as a travel agent is to give well-informed, appropriate advice to clients about where and when to travel based on their needs. So if they hate hot weather, don't send them to Australia in the summer... Other duties will include: Arranging flights, insurance and accommodation Using a booking system to secure holidays Collecting and processing payments As travel agent Advising clients on travel arrangements, e.g. visas and passports Sending out tickets to clients Keeping clients up to date with any changes Dealing with complaints or refunds (not one of the perks, but someone's got to do it) issue and reissue tickets (Amadeus system) *organize reservation records either by date of arrival or alphabetically. *prepare both confirmation and cancellation letters regarding reservations. *make list of requested item. *Track room facilities. *Rates hotels so that clients can easily access them. *process reservations through telephone, mail, fax or any other medium. *Reserves for travel agents, airlines, hotel services etc. *Cancellation and modification of reservations *arrange programs for clients. *aware of all the processes. *Make documents for front office use. *booking, cancel, alter bookings. *have a complete knowledge of all the categories I handle. *able to handle crisis periods. *have a priority list of all the categories. *talk, listen and help resolved conflicts with customers. An expert communicator will be able to listen effectively to find the root cause of issues, and communicate clearly and in a friendly way to solve the issue and keep the customer happy. *can deal with confused or irate customers.
