• Job Details:• Oversaw all aspects of engineering operations, environmental health, safety and security issues, as well as the operation efficiency of the property. • Contributed to guest satisfaction standards by ensuring technical support services and anticipate when possible individual needs. Ensured the safety and comfort of guests and staffs were maintained at all times. • Ensured adherence to all statutory regulations and fire codes by regularly reviewing standard policies and safety procedures. Ensured all works were carried out in accordance with contracts, scope of works, service agreements and warranties. • Ensured the quality of the work completed by both employees and external contracted staff adhered to the standards of good engineering practices. • Contributed to the effectiveness of management decision. • Recorded necessary data to prepare monthly reports. • Ensured that the daily work orders were allocated and work completed on time. • Ensured preventive maintenance work was carried out as planned for all hotel equipment. • Ensured work orders were issued to shift personnel at the beginning of each shift. • Ensured shift starting /finishing times were strictly adhered to at all times. • Ensured work was carried out in a timely and efficient manner. • Ensured electrical/mechanical/civil work met or exceeded the required standards. • Attended and assisted with all major breakdowns and renovations. • Monitored breakdowns and ensured immediate response by engineering personnel and that all equipment required must be in service when required. • Ensured parts required for jobs were ordered and on hand when required. • Kept track of maintenance records and shift logs for electrical/mechanical/civil works. • Ensured all modifications/alterations were reported to the General Manager and made necessary drawing revisions in order to maintain updated electrical/mechanical/civil drawings for all equipment and buildings. • Monitored and assisted with the day to day running of the department activities.
