Jr. Mine Planning Engineer

• Job Details:Provide accurate mining plans that enable safe and productive mining to meet targets; advising and assisting the mining team in the development strategies, scheduling, including short and long term mine planning; prepares and assists in creating short and long term mine plans; prepares and assists in developing practical mine plans for mining operations; validates quarry and technical data from geosciences department; support and lead technical teams and sites to deliver high-quality outcomes consistent with mining principles and practical application and monitors execution of mine design and plans; works closely with geosciences team to ensure mine plans and designs are accurate with available geological information; responsible in determining suitable and appropriate methods of ore extraction taking account of such factors as depth of overburden, attitude and physical characteristics of deposits; prepares mine design and plans, layout of mine development, and application of appropriate mining techniques using mining software; responsible in assessing natural, technical, financial, and safety risks associated with the phases of the project development, construction, and operations; conducting preliminary surveys of mineral deposits with geologists to determine the resources present, feasibility of extracting the reserves, and the mine design and development of the extraction process; responsible for planning and coordinating the utilization of labor and equipment consistent with efficiency targets, statutes, safety guidelines, and environmental conditions; closely monitors and assess the implementation of mine plans and provides feedback and recommendations; provides technical support in improving mine operations in terms of mine design and mine scheduling to help attain development and target production, and to execute operations safety and cost effectively through approved mining strategies and plans; prepares work programs, technical reports and other government-related documents.

Safety Engineer

• Job Details:Monitoring and planning of actions for the attainment of the objectives and targets, and compliance to company safety standards; identify and correct potential hazards by monitoring mining operations, mine site facilities, equipment, machinery as well as safety equipment on site; review and submit project safety statistics, weekly, monthly documents, and required EHS reports within the respective time frame; reviews and ensures the incident registries are updated and follow up closures of corrective action; recommends and implements a systematic, proactive, and effective safety processes and programs for the attainment of zero harm to workers, environment, and communities; ensures daily mining operations, production, and maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations; reviews employee mining safety programs and recommend improvements; drive full implementation of safety, health and environment management systems, procedures, guidelines, standards framework, and programs to help create and sustain a culture wherein all employees and contractors work responsibly and perform roles without risk of injury, disease or death; effectively manage high hazard activities; promote health and well-being of employees support health programs preventing occupational illnesses; promotes the company environmental management program; ensures that the project has efficient controls in place to ensure ongoing compliance with relevant internal and external workplace safety and health standards and reporting requirements.
