• Job Details:Work in "SOULCO" as a Network Security Engineer where I utilize my knowledge of security principles, technologies, and best practices to protect organizational assets. Designing and maintaining network infrastructure Maintaining network devices including Switches, firewalls, load-balancers and other physical hardware Network monitoring to improve performance for all systems. Troubleshooting, resolving, and communicating networking issues to other employees and management. Executing basic security operations tasks on firewalls, Proxies and VPN. Extensive knowledge of security vulnerabilities, solutions, and risks in IT. Maintaining current knowledge and understanding of security and networking best practices to offer the best solutions and protection to company systems. Configure tools to protect the network and prevent malicious actors from gaining access using Intrusion detection systems (IDS) and intrusion prevention systems (IPS) appliance. Installation, Configuration, Documentation and Troubleshooting of the following products: Extreme switches & access point - FortiGate firewall - Sophos firewall - Zappix monitoring tool - Ruckus WaaS. Audited existing network infrastructure to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Managed relationships with external vendors, negotiating contracts for hardware, software, and services related to network security. Installed and maintained commercial firewall solution, working with security vendors to consistently apply best practices and software updates. Developed security metrics and technical analysis to give insight into performance and trends.
