- Job Details:Owing the status of largest petroleum company of Pakistan, I got a chance to work there Here I got myself familiar with exploration, separation and purification of petroleum products. Heat transfer, mass transfer and fluid mechanics were the key concepts which I learnt. Plant was divided into Processing facilities and Utilities • I got knowledge about the sweet and sour feed • Pressure and temperature variations and their balance • Learnt the industrial use of Heat exchangers, compressors, condensers, cooling towers etc • Physical separation of petroleum through their density difference • Removal of water through Glycol dehydration process • Separation of H2S & CO2 from feed through amine gas treating process • Amine regeneration method • Recovery of sulfer from H2S through Claus process in SRU (Sulfer Recovery Unit) • Process of Dew point reduction • LPG recovery • NGL stabilization • Furthermore, I learnt the removal of mineral and salts from water in Demine Water Unit to avoid corrosion • Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) drills on regular basis • Fire control ,rescue and Sulfer protection methods • Overview of the control system of the plant
