Job Details:During my internship, I was tasked to shadow the Head Planning Engineer to learn about the project and the company’s preferred project planning tools and techniques. Moreover, I was tasked to upload construction activities to Primavera and analyze and report back on the effects of these activities on the project schedule. This has developed my technical writing skills as I was formally reporting the causes and effects of the project schedule changes. In addition to that, I was tasked to study the project drawings and develop the fire escape route for the floors, this was a very educational experience on analyzing different alternatives to come up with the best possible solution to the problem presented to me, studying the risk factors and their severity to minimize any possible incidents and accidents primarily for the safety of occupants and secondly for the protection of the property and cost effectiveness in repair and maintenance.
