Biomedical Engineer

• Job Details:Responsible for directing and managing biomedical engineering activities directly related to safe and effective medical equipment, including acquisition, maintenance and repair of the medical equipment, assisting and overseeing writing specifications for new equipment, coordination of preventive maintenance and repairs by outside service personnel, evaluation of possible service contracts and outside vendor relationships, ensuring departmental policies and procedures are followed, assigning responsibilities, setting performance expectations, and conducting regular performance evaluations for team members, developing and implementing a comprehensive equipment maintenance program, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines governing medical devices, developing and maintaining documentation related to equipment maintenance, safety testing, and incident reporting, managing relationships with medical equipment vendors, service providers, and contractors, collaborating with stakeholders at all levels.
