This may involve evaluating alternate suppliers, negotiating better shipping rates, or finding ways to reduce import duties. -Identify potential risks in the supply chain and handle issues that arise during the purchasing or logistics process, such as quality control problems, customs delays, or shipping errors, and find effective solutions. -Evaluate vendor performance based on delivery times, quality, and overall reliability. -Ensure that imported goods meet quality standards and adhere to the specifications outlined in purchase agreements. -Research and assess new suppliers in various international markets to find better pricing or quality options with staying informed about logistics trends. -Work closely with other departments such as sales, finance, and production to ensure that purchasing and logistics activities align with company needs and goals.
