AmeriCorps Member Full Time

• Job Details:Currently serving in a sixth grade English Language Arts and Social Studies classroom. Serving a a full-time (55+ hours) as a mentor, role model, and tutor to two classes totaling 44 students. Specially working on attendance, behavior, and literacy coursework for 12 students, spending 15 hours total on each individual. In addition to writing my own lesson plans for the students, focusing in on my trainings on socio-emotional growth and learning. Lastly working with a team of 17 Corps members to pilot a morning program where I develop my own lesson plans.

Program Assistant Full Time

• Job Details:I was the assistant to the manager of the Jumpstart AmeriCorps program at Suffolk University. I collaborated in creating and implementing trainings, sending updates to the Corps, tracking time sheets, and creating lesson plans. All of these allowed for me to see the education field from a different angle. After working as the Corps member for three years, I was able to work on the computer and access different skills within the company.

Service Learning Leader Full Time

• Job Details:I assisted professors in creating a service learning component to their classes. I connected students with service organizations around the city of Boston that applied to their personal interests. I managed their hours and the communications between the students and the organizations.
