• Job Details:Managing 200+ AIX LPARs and Linux servers across global data centers. Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian, SUSE). Performed OS patching and migration using NIM, including pre/post-checks. Operating system upgrades from AIX 5.3 to 6.1/7.1. PowerHA migration from 6.1 to 7.1.3 to 7.2.3. VIO upgrades from 2.1 to 2.2. Responsible for NIM installation, setting up NIM servers, clients, defining the resources, alternate disk migration with NIM live partition mobility validation and migration. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls. Monitor system performance (CPU, memory, disk, network). Apply security patches and updates regularly. Manage repositories and custom RPM/DEB packages. Configure and manage LVM, RAID, NFS, iSCSI, and SAN storage. Troubleshoot disk space issues and perform filesystem repairs. Configure and troubleshoot network interfaces. Experience in creating shared Ethernet adapter (SEA) with control channel adapter and failover. Perform vulnerability scans and remediate security risks. Implement SSH key-based authentication and disable insecure protocols (telnet, FTP). Train junior admins and guide teams. Perform installations, upgrades, and patching of the OpenShift platform to ensure it is up-to-date and secure. Preparing weekly and monthly status reports. Updating cluster version from 4.13 to 4.14.

Linux/AIX SME

• Job Details:Experience in administration of AIX 5.3, 6.1, 7.1, RHEL 5/6/7/8 Linux server builds from OVA file templates. Experience in incident management, problem management and change management. Experienced in data centre migration and application migration planning & execution. Experience on patch and package administration on Linux platforms. Installed and managed VMware and KVM servers and guest servers in RHEL. Experienced in IBM hardware management console code upgrade from v7r7.7.0 sp2 to v7r7.9.0 sp1 and v7r7.9.0 sp1 to v8r8.3.0 sp1. Experienced in IBM blade servers firmware upgrade and IVM upgrades. Implementation of high availability solutions using PowerHA. PowerHA migration from 6.1 to 7.1.3 to 7.2.3. Operating system upgrades from AIX 5.3 to 6.1/7.1. VIO upgrades from 2.1 to 2.2. Datacenter migration from Canada to US location live partition mobility validation and migration.
