System Administrator

• Job Details:Part of the IT infrastructure service team providing assistance for IT infrastructure. Daily administration tasks to support staff. Responsible for a group of Windows servers ensuring proper performance and functionality. Design, deployment & support of Microsoft Active Directory services. Maintaining the Active Directory, creating new users, moving users from one organization unit to another as required, and assigning configuration of authorization and authentication to users or groups accordingly. Implementation of central store in Active Directory. Implementing group policies on different organizational units as required. Installation, configuration and upgrading the domain controllers, assignment of FSMO roles and transfer of FSMO roles. Maintenance, updating, upgrading and migration of Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager and implementation of group update provider for remote branches. Updating and installation of client antivirus programs through Symantec Endpoint Protection console. Installation and maintenance of all servers and computer systems. Manage and support of Microsoft Hyper-V cluster in a four nodes cluster. Hands-on experience in HP P2000 G3 SAN storage like creating vdisks, volumes and assigning it to the nodes. Configuration and implementation of file servers. Implementing file and folder security through share and NTFS permissions. Checking the server for connectivity, updating user lists and groups. Maintenance of MS Exchange server and configured exchange clients on all desktops for enterprise mail and messaging using MS Outlook. Configuration and installation of operating system, roles and RAID for the servers as required. Planning, installation and implementation of backup strategies, disaster recovery using Symantec Backup Exec 16 for all servers. Monitoring and checking the servers for any hardware failures like hard disk, RAM etc. Setup, configure, and administer, implementation and maintenance of local area network (LAN).
