Developing and maintaining emergency response plans and evacuation procedures, and conducting regular drills while serving as an emergency response and triage team member. Playing a key role as HSE turnaround (TAR) coordinator during plant shutdowns, ensuring safe execution, contractor supervision, and timely permit issuance. Monitoring and managing HSE reporting systems to encourage quality submissions (near misses, safety observations, incidents, and reports), and implementing a reward system to boost workforce participation. Contributing to HSE performance reviews, management walkthroughs, and leadership safety visits by providing accurate briefings and actionable improvement proposals. Participating in contractor evaluations, HSE tender reviews, and prequalification processes to ensure adherence to high HSE standards in procurement and execution. Participating in technical tender reviews and PPE trials to assess equipment durability, worker feedback, and hazard compatibility (e.g., flame-resistant clothing, H2S escape sets, ATEX-rated gear). Providing expert input to procurement teams on PPE selection, vendor qualification, and purchasing specifications, ensuring optimal balance between quality, safety, and cost.
