BMIC is established in 2008 in cement sector as a subsidiary company of the Egypt Kuwait Holding (EKH) which is one of the MENA region’s leading investment companies with a diversified portfolio of investments and I was employed since pre-construction phase.
 Built Financial Department starting of setting the department structure in the organization chart, selecting, recruiting and developing financial team, organizing and assigning jobs, setting goals and procedures of the work flow to following up day to day financial activities through planned reporting cycle
 Monitor and direct the implementation of financial strategic business plans.
 Control BP for project to guarantee the limit of budget & update the management reports.
 Finalized the chart of accounts and the new responsibility & cost centers plan to be ready for budget
 Oversee budgeting and the implementation of budgets so as to monitor progress and present financial metrics both internally and externally.
 Assess organizational performance against both the annual budget and company’s long-term strategy.
 Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP, regulatory requirements, and Office of Management and Budget audit requirements.
 Implemented standard cost accounting system giving standard cost per product and per production stage.
 Build MFR (Management Format Report) for BMIC.
 Developed tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to the Top Management and make actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations
 Designing, reviewing and implementing organization policies, documentary system and work procedures
 Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations.
 Partner with the IT Manager to procure specialized finance IT systems that meet the needs of the organization.
 Basic role in implementing SAP ERP covering overall business modules
 Manage cash flow and forecasting. Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.
 Optimize the handling of banking relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash positions.
 Built & designed payroll system that achieves the control between finance and HR department to reduce the mistakes.
 Prepared asset register according to IAS & GAAP to keep & maintain fixed assets and ensure that all assets carry bar-coded assets tags.
 Review all current & new contracts & create system to show all the status for these contracts (Paid, Outstanding, L/G, L/C, delay penalties).
 Built company’s monthly closing schedule and ensure the timely Monthly closing ,trial balance is to be ready after posting all accruals in planned deadline
 Ensure the timely submission of all tax declarations and due payment.
 Tight control for all cash advances to staff must be closed before month -end also tight follow up on all cash-flow.
 Prepared policies & procedures for fixed assets, purchases and warehouse.
 Quarterly reconciliation with all vendors and related parties
 Managed the tax examination process of sales tax of 2008 – 2015 (at three stages) and preparing for income and salary tax examination
 Monitor all open legal issues involving the company, and legal issues affecting the industry.
