BSS Planning and Dimensioning Lead June 2011 – July 2012 Leading the BSS planning and dimensioning team for 2G and 3G to achive the agreed targets and commitments including: Dimension the BSC/RNC/TC/PCU capacity based on NSN planning methodologies by working closely with TX, CN & Optim teams to dimension the BSC/RNC based on the available TX, Core available capacities and the optimization constrains. This includes illustrating the 1st Dimensioning blocking point/points ie: NSN may reach BSC/RNC max BHCA before traffic or vice versa. Monitor the BSC/RNC/TC/PCU utilization pn weekly basis in order to plan the needed actions as A_ter upgrades, sites migration, new BSC launching, RNC step upgrades,…etc. BSC/RNC interfaces dimensioning based on Mobinil current TX network & interface evolution in Mobinil Roadmap Single RAN creation & delivery planning by issuing the CWO & DWO end to end starting from receiving WO request from Planning team till sending the DWO & CWO to Rollout & operation teams. BSC/RNC/TC creation & delivery planning by receiving the capacity analysis for TRXs, new sites & 2P AGE 2 OF 7 Traffic and cascade them on the BSC/LAC Level in addition to calculating the LAC target TRXs & traffic on monthly basis and then calculating the needed NE per LAC (BSC/PCU) based on the NE planning methodologies (BHCA,Traffic,TRXs,CIs,Interfaces,…etc). Define the needed actions (new BSC/TC, BSC/TC upgrade, A_ter Upgdae, A_ter downgrade,…..etc) per LAC per month. Calculate the target traffic on monthly basis and then calculate the needed NE per LAC (RNCs) based on the NE planning methodologies (BHCA,Traffic,CIs,CEs,Interfaces,…etc). Define the needed actions (new RNC, IuCS/PS Upgdae, …..etc) per RNC per month. Features alignment by Checking the Features (SW/HW) alignment with the current NEs HW & SW versions. Check the compatibility of the features with current Network version. Arrange the planning data needed for the feature testing. Work Closely with the SKC on the test book preparations & the feature testing Network interconnectivity dimensioning by Dimensioning the network interconnectivity interfaces, types and protocols. Ex: IP,CBC,…etc
