Biomedical Service Engineer & Lab Instructor

• Job Details:Serve in a dual role supporting both university teaching laboratories and hospital clinical engineering operations. Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on imaging, diagnostic, and life-support equipment to ensure maximum uptime and regulatory compliance. Train over 50 faculty members, students, and healthcare staff on proper equipment usage, safety, and routine troubleshooting. Consult with departments on biomedical equipment planning, including needs assessment, technical specification, vendor evaluation, price negotiation, and installation layout. Coordinate procurement and logistics of new machines in collaboration with vendors and university procurement offices. Support the design, delivery, and supervision of laboratory sessions for undergraduate students and capstone projects. Assist with data collection and analysis for bachelor's, master's, and PhD-level research across engineering and healthcare domains. Contributed to research in artificial intelligence and classification algorithms, including an IEEE-published diagnostic system using machine learning for strabismus detection and rehabilitation.
