• Job Details:On my ward job, my duties relied in documenting the consultant's assessment and plan of the patient throughly. After the ward round we organised the job's list sharing the work load with my colleagues. That included requesting and chasing in investigations, preforming clinical procedures from taking blood samples to inserting catheters..etc. I attended MDT meeting and liaised with different specialities and multidisciplinary teams. I chased reports and collateral histories from family members and GP. I attended family discussions and delivered sad news to worried patients with sympathy and respect. I also attended to unwell patients on the ward, assessing them in the ABCD approach and escalating to my seniors appropriately and safely. And last but not least is writing discharge summaries, organizing outpatient follow up and updating the inpatient ward list. During the on call part of my job, I clerked patient admitted through the ED department. I implemented my senior plan including treatment, investigations and liaising with bed managers for admission. I added the patient to the post take list along with attending the post take ward round with the consultants which included responsibilities similar to those mentioned in my ward cover job description. My rotations during internship year: Neuropsychiatry - 2 months Emergency medicine- 1 month Anaethesia- 1 month General Medicine- 2 months Paediatrics- 2 months Obstetrics and gynecology-2 months General Surgery- 2 months
