• Job Details:Intercom Enterprises is one of the largest System Integrators in Egypt, offering Industry Solutions, Infrastructure Solutions, and Professional Services for the regional Banking & Financial services sector, Government, Oil & Gas, Telecommunication, and General Business markets. Intercom’s “Product Development” business unit is the software development arm of Intercom. The unit is responsible for the development of all the in-house developed software applications (Intercom Products). It mainly consists of two business lines: Banking Solutions, and General Business solutions. My objective is to steer the unit towards maximizing its revenue share through stabilizing both the offerings and the performance, expanding products lines, and maximizing customer base. During the last two years at Intercom, we were able to stabilize our offerings which is reflected through the successful delivery of a number of projects that were tripped, together with a decent number of new orders. On the other hand, the overall performance of the unit has recovered through implementing a series of corrective actions that include formulating a support organization within the unit, implementing the Agile (Scrum) development methodology, enhancing and enforcing QMS processes, and managing relationships with other departments. Finally, the new promising business line (Mobile Solutions) is currently evolving, with a pipe-line that should dramatically differentiate the unit’s revenue among Intercom.

• Job Details:Comsys is one of the leading Egyptian software houses established in 1984 specialized in hospitality and retail solutions. Comsys is a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner. My mission is to upgrade the company’s products (Optima, Plaza, Gala, and Ultra) to a new platform to suit the growing market and customers’ needs. I started by gathering distinguished software analysts, designers, developers, and testers among company’s old staff and new recruitments to structure a new software development department that joins the mentioned functional work teams together. Parallel to that; I designed and documented an internal business process that specifies and controls the workflow throughout work teams. Then I finally designed, and developed an internal system that monitors the execution of the business process through documenting tasks, reviews, approvals and measuring staff's KPIs. (Both the BP, and the internal system was designed to target obtaining CMMI level 3). Within the last two years, we were able to successfully upgrade and integrate two of the major company’s products (Optima, and Plaza) and deliver them to a segment of old customers and to sell them to a set of new customers.
