- Job Details:Retail Supervisor (Area Manager) The Retail Supervisor is the person a shop manager refers to and is basically in charge of many shops at one. A supervisor's number one task is to oversee and manage several teams to make sure everything is running smoothly and according to the proper guidelines - Prepare a checklist on a daily basis and schedule 2 or 3 visits per day for the shops, by making sure every single boutique is well managed, from the displays to the organization of the salesgirls and the management of the shop manager - Prepare random inventory checks in all categories to make sure no items are missing, no items are overstocked and that all orders are correct - Double-check if the number of items on ground match with that of the system - Double-check the salesgirls' assessment - Make sure new recruits are progressing - Take charge of the displays by filling in every single gap - Report to the retail manager - Make sure a rotation is applied to all displays - Give every shop manager the proper training by introducing the policies, rules and regulations - Take an overall look at all the orders -Make sure every season switch is followed by the proper guidelines, from filling in the planogram of the season to ordering the stands, the new seasonal collections and effectuating consignment orders - Double check the default assessment sheet to get a full report on every employee -Give the approval on employees' schedules, from modifications to leaves and so forth - Give bonuses and/or deductions -Recruit new employees, give first interviews and make sure new recruits get the proper training -Investigate new market trends, visit competitor shops to compare prices, collections, sales and/or the emergence of new potentially threatening brands -Always be proactive
