• Job Details:Key Responsibilities: - Develops short and long term strategic goals and objectives including annual operating objectives, while ensuring that resources and the annual budget are optimally configured and deployed to achieve the best results, in collaboration with the Dean of Students and the Provost. - Leads a team of 40+ professional and paraprofessional staff to provide a positive and educationally vital experience that includes accommodation, educational programming and social activities. - Provides direction and leadership to establish a culture of collective and individual responsibility to community living among residents, in addition to assigning accountabilities, goal setting and monitoring staff performance. - Oversees the physical plant aspect of the AUC Student Residences to ensure that the buildings are well-maintained and clean to provide a safe, functional and hygienic living environment. - Works collaboratively with campus partners to develop, lead and assess a culturally inclusive residential program with programs/activities that support first-year experience, high-impact activities, and academic success initiatives, along with independent living. - Monitors and evaluates the AUC Student Residences occupancy, retention and projection trends in addition to assessing and monitoring the quality of Residential Life services and student satisfaction rates. - Meets with residents identified as struggling with issues related to retention concerns, mental health or transition challenges and makes counseling referrals when such referrals are deemed necessary. - Oversees the residential life website to ensure current and accurate information is posted as well as the content of any publications, brochures, web-based, and social media content produced by the Office of Residential Life. - Coordinates and implements crisis management and emergency response protocols including oversight for response to critical incidents.
