Passionate and committed sports leader having held numerous administrative positions in the sport of cycling at club, provincial, National, Continental and International level. Raced competitively since 1978, achieving significant success at provincial and national level. Represented South Africa at the World Masters Track Cycling Championships in 2000, 2001 and 2005 in Manchester Actively involved in cycling administration, having served on the National Cycling Body, Cycling South Africa. Past President of Cycling South Africa. Manager of the South African Cycling teams in 1999, 2000, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2012. Currently serving on the Management Committee of the African Cycling Confederation and on the International Cycling Union(UCI) track cycling Commission Inducted into the "Legends of the Pedal” hall of fame
