• Job Details:Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President (SVP) and the Project Steering Committee with full responsibility across a 200+ strong multi-disciplined and internationally-based team of Architectural, Civil & Structural Engineers, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing Engineers, Sustainability, Irrigation, Transportation, Traffic, Quantity Surveying /Cost Management Services and Specialist Services (Landscape Architects, Interior Design Consultants, Specialist Engineers, Façade Specialists etc). Financially & managerially accountable for a mega-scale project (KSA’s largest shopping centre), consisting of a 350,000 sqm GLA shopping mall nested within a 1.5 million sqm mixed use development, with a total cost of (approx) SAR 22.0 Billion. • Spearheaded the entire project team in addition to the project’s full operational requirements • Acted as prime interface with the Client Team and held ultimate responsibility for Client satisfaction • Invested with responsibility for the day to day project performance, management and decision making. • Carried ultimate responsibility for the development, implementation and execution of the Project Management Plan (PMP) • Built and led the Consultant Team for successful management of the Project across all Packages and Gates • Delivered qualitative and innovative design solutions and held ultimate responsibility for a world class project • Accountability to the Client for the delivery of the Project by meeting or exceeding the Project objectives and deliverables • Created an environment for integration between all stakeholders, Client, individuals and teams including sub-consult teams • Provided leadership to the Management Team by empowering them and delegating effectively • Served as an effective mentor/coach to the wider team members and brought out the best in people; including motivating and monitoring the project team, in alignment with the project objectives, deliverables and client recommendations • Ensured continuous focus on the Project Vision, Objectives, Results • Achieved Value Engineering and Value for Money, promoting value adding features and innovation, integration and continuous communications

Director of ProjectsFull Time

• Job Details:Reporting directly to CEO and Shareholders with full responsibility for leading Project Management services across a 100-strong multi-disciplined team of Architectural, Civil & Structural Engineers, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing Engineers, Quantity Surveying /Cost Management Services and Specialist Services (Landscape Architects, Interior Design Consultants, Specialist Engineers, Façade Specialists). Financially & managerially accountable for all company projects, amounting to (Equivalent) GBP $80.6M in FY2013-14, GBP $84.2M in FY2014-15 and GBP $60.3M for FY2015-16. • Orchestrated and drove through detailed Value Engineering Design Appraisals on several large specialist projects, resulting in significant cost savings averaging an equivalent GBP 692,000.00 (or BND $1.2M) in each instance. • Achieved major time & cost savings on a large religious (Mosque) project through re-evaluating the master programming schedules & construction sequencing aligned to stakeholders, religious leaders & community resident wishes. • Spearheaded, managed and maintained a new Quality Management System and Operational Procedures Manual for the Company, tailored to meet ISO 9001:2015 & designed to deliver greatly improved business efficiencies & accountability and a more client-focused, quality-driven & commercially astute Project Management system and company-wide focus. • Successfully formulated, managed and embedded a new Company Risk Management Model within the Company’s previously underperforming business process aimed at improving the commercial viability of proposals during RFP / ToR reviews. This resulted in greater overall clarity & certainty during risk assessment, and stronger decision-making during ‘Bid or no Bid’ recommendations, Bid Management, leading to more tailored writing & costing of proposals. • Introduced & executed a new framework for productivity measurement in conjunction with Brunei Darussalam’s Centre for Strategic & Policy Studies (CSPS) and the Singapore Productivity Association (SPA), including regular reporting over a designated 12-month review period. This resulted in a clearer definition of risk within business operations, processes & key internal & external productivity indicators and a significant overall improvement in company performance.

Head of ArchitectureFull Time

• Job Details:Architectural Leadership responsibility for the financial and operational performance across an annual (Equivalent) GBP 320M portfolio of projects, reporting monthly to the Managing Director and Quarterly to the Regional Director. Remit involved management within & across a multifunctional team of 200 employees aimed at delivering across a wide range of functional responsibilities including Project Management, Design Management, Value Engineering, Continuous Business Improvement, Design Development, Project Handover, Cost Control & Optimization, Authorities Management, Client Development, Change Management, Technical Execution, and Quality Management Implementation. Remit expanded during this period with additional responsibility for Master Planning & Landscape Divisions as well as the Head of Architecture role. • Accomplished monthly, quarterly and year-end savings to the allocated budget within the COWI Bahrain Architectural /Buildings Service Cluster, through prudent management of staff costs (manhours /overheads /expenses) & the selective implementation of manpower outsourcing in collaboration with COWI’s Qatari, Omani & Danish operational divisions. • Played a key role in successfully holding and sustaining a local departmental quarterly Operational Profit /EBIT target of BHD 120,000.00 during an adverse period of political /civil unrest which stifled the country’s inward flows of investment and which challenged (during its peak) the safety & security of numerous high profile operational premises. • Successfully identified several critical architectural design issues within five (5) Building Cluster Projects which led to the elimination and /or simplification of overly complex circulation zones and inefficient, excessive MEP service cores. This resulted in combined savings of approximately (Equivalent) GBP $9.9M, which were subsequently redistributed to areas offering greater commercial viability for Clients & Stakeholders. Supplemented these efficiency measures by initiating & driving through a 2nd tier Value Engineering Appraisal during pre-Contract negotiations with Contractors & Specialists. • Spearheaded COWI’s winning architectural tender for a prestigious Royal Archives building in Bahrain worth (Equivalent) GBP $48.8M, consisting of digital public library with Royal archives, reading rooms, offices, lecture halls and a restaurant, with a total area of approx. 11,000m2. This was a duel role consisting of Local Technical Management/ Architect of Record Services & Construction Contract Management during post-contract, under a JV agreement with Foster & Partners. (Project ultimately shelved for political & financial reasons during civil unrest & economic volatility in Bahrain).
