• Job Details:3. Project work a. Verify and approve project proposals to improve plant performance and enhance optimization for Unit within own responsibilities, through consideration of cost and efficiency factors or to adapt existing unit to improve flexibility in producing new products or consuming new feedstock potentially adding value to the organization. b. Supervise subordinates contributing to design of plant change projects, taking into account technical integrity, safety, process and process control, performance and relationships with the rest of the site and assist in commissioning plant change projects. c. Verify and approve the identification and evaluation of impacts of process change initiatives, verify and approve practical guidelines and training for implementing process change. d. Verify and approve economic justification and Hazop of project proposals from other disciplines e.g. operators, engineers. Supervise and coach subordinates to perform economic justification and Hazop session if the disciplines are not capable to perform on their own e.g. proposal issued by operators. e. Carry out Technical screening of project proposals and develop technically and economically preferred projects as well as prioritize the list. 4. Other related tasks a. Supervise subordinates to conduct activities related to risk management, control self- assessment, ISO system (QSHE aspect/ plan, work procedure, work instruction, audit, etc) b. Coordinate with other APU Managers to manage all activities in the APU to ensure that all units are operating efficiently and reliably in both short and long term to meet production plan / targets / refinery KPls. c. Jointly with other APU Managers, set APU targets and carry out implementation as well as to monitor the achievement. d. Initiate and contribute to refinery improvement in cooperation with Shell Global Solutions or licensors. e. Share (examples of) best practices with staff and advise them on the methodology and the feasibility to apply them to the organization. f. Assess the team competence throughout the training program and career development of the subordinates and define resource requirement. g. Pinpoint and prioritize issues in the designated area that need to be managed with respect to quality, cost, and efficiency as related to production process / refinery process based on organizational targets. h. Determine long-term approaches for enhancing cooperation efficiency among production/ refinery process work units i. Refer to Company's QSHE's policy guidelines when performing, supervising, managing assigned tasks to ensure that QSHE objectives are met with high performance.
