- Job Details:Responsibilities: • Project Management: Overall management and execution of construction projects within the Construction division, including: 1- Planning, 2- Organizing, and Coordinating all project activities from start to finish, ensuring they are completed within timetrame and budget, and in compliance with relevant regulations and standards. • Tender Consultation: Provision of technical guidance. planning and logistical information for bids and tenders. •Comprehensive Review: 1- All design packages, and resolution of any design/constructability issues through consultation with counterpart on Projects design team. 2- Development and implementation of design review KPI's and supporting their implementation across all review activities. 3- Review of subcontractors' shop drawings as well as outsourced shop drawings and coordinating their approval process with the project consultant. 4- Update of shop drawing log before sending to consultant for approval. Construction Team Leadership: Leading and managing a team of construction professionals, including project managers, site supervisors, engineers, and other staff members. This involved assigning tasks, providing guidance and support, and promoting a positive and productive work environment. •Design Team Leadership: Leadership of the design review team through all phases by guiding, advising and mentoring other designers on project work, development of design direction and leading critiques. •Budgeting and Cost Control: Development and management of project budgets, including estimating costs, monitoring expenses, and ensuring that projects are completed within the allocated budget. This involved reviewing and approving financial documents, negotiating with vendors and suppliers, and identifying opportunities for cost savings. • Resource Allocation: Ensuring that the necessary resources are allocated efficiently to complete construction projects through coordination with different departments/stakeholders to secure the required resources and optimizing their utilization. •Contract Management: Managing contracts and agreements related to construction projects. This includes reviewing and negotiating contracts, ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions, and addressing any contractual issues or disputes that may arise. • Quality Assurance and Safety: Ensuring that construction projects meet the required quality standards and adhere to all safety regulations. This involves implementing quality control procedures, conducting regular inspections, and promoting a culture of safety within the division. • Stakeholder Communication: Effective communication and collaboration with various stakeholders, including Clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities by providing regular project updates, addressing concerns or issues, and fostering positive relationships with stakeholders. • Risk Management: Identifying potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them throughout the construction process by conducting risk assessments, implementing risk management plans, and addressing any issues that may arise during construction. • Compliance and Regulatory Requirements: Ensuring all construction activities within my division complied with relevant laws, regulations, and permits. This included obtaining necessary permits, adhering to zoning and building codes, and maintaining appropriate documentation. • Interface Management and Planning: 1- Liaison with Senior Engineers to achieve agreed-upon time schedule, as well as strict adherence to said schedule, and the development of a recovery schedule as contingency for any slippage. 2- Participation in solving/reporting any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise during construction to the Technical Office Manager for discussion and proper resolution. 3- Coordination of technical, design and external client requirements and issues with the design and Projects teams. 4-Coordination with other trades (Civil, Mechanical, etc.) to resolve any conflict between any of the departments. • Establishment of Guidelines/Standards/Codes : under the Engineering, Architectural, and Sustainability disciplines to ensure compliance with international standards, and communication of said guidelines to all project stakeholders. • Recruitment: of suitable, qualified Engineers/Architects to the respective team, and support of recruitment activities across the organization. • Continuous Innovation: Staying updated with industry trends, adopting best practices, and implementing innovative approaches to enhance productivity and efficiency.
