• Job Details: Keep abreast of current steel market situation and other crucial raw materials to anticipate price trends and recommends strategic purchase.  Coordinate with quality department to review supplier’s performance.  Maintains healthy working relations with all suppliers.  Negotiate purchase of capital items, steel raw materials and other items having high values to ensure savings/profitability.  Assists the manager in the development and training of departmental personnel to work in a team based, continuous improvement environment  Ensuring on-going plans are in effect with key suppliers to improve performance across Quality, Cost, Logistics, Development and Management (QCLDM  Provide weekly and monthly reports to management to measure the group’s periodic performance  Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow  Reviews weekly inventory trends.  Notifies concerned departments of price movements, material availability or other conditions which may affect the company’s operation.  Ensure regular and effective follow up of open orders.  Processes purchase order claims & contracts as per company policy.  Keep accurate records of price histories and problems in doing business with particular vendors.  Promoted 3 times with high achievements starting from junior, Senior, Principle till supervisor.
