• Job Details:• Prepared multiple Cu-SSZ catalyst using the one pot method yielding 0.01, 0.02, 0.04, 0.07, 0.1 M Cu loadings. • Using IR and Raman spectroscopy, characterized the Cu-SSZ catalyst active sites and activity. • Explored the N2O formation pathway at low temperature during selective catalytic reduction (SCR) of NOx with NH3 on Cu-SSZ catalyst by isotopically labeling one of the reactant gases.

Senior DesignFull Time

• Job Details:• Successfully implemented a model using Aspen and SuperPro for a new plant for downstream processing of sterile products for a 400 L batch size. • The process included: a furnace to produce the necessary steam, solvent recovery unit where the solvents used upstream are distilled and recycled, and most importantly a Lyophilizer with a refrigeration cycle that freeze-dries the drug product.

Lubricants Development Technology – Co-opFull Time

• Job Details:• Developed a multi-experiment screener model for aeration testing of heavy duty diesel and passenger car motors lubricating oils that costed less than 5% of the industrial tests for aeration. • The screener is currently used as an initial successful sorting system for newly formulated oils.
