Rig Electrician

• Job Details:Conduct field visits and actively participate in rig inspection of equipment in real time. Ensure all electrical motors and pumps are in good working condition before and after operations in mud tanks and rig location. Successfully carried out electrical motors installations, connections and testing of equipment used in the mud operation area and rig. Carried out preventive maintenance service (PMS) on CAT generator rated 600 volts and also worked with CAT engineers to ensure adequate power supply and distribution during operation in rig. Perform technical inspections of electrical work and specifications to ensure compliance. Successfully carried out connections and testing of solid control equipment. Ensure every electrical maintenance to be done in the rig location is done according to standards and practice. Successfully carry out loop check, insulation resistance test on multi and single pair primary cables to electric motors and electrical equipment. Perform continuity test on low voltage (LV) installation, polarity and insulation resistance tests on LV and HV cables. Successfully carried out lighting and earthing system inspections in the rig quarterly to ensure adequate protection of equipment and personnel. Ensure effective electrical isolation lock out tag out (LOTO) for electrical equipment before working on them. Installation and connection of agitators rated 380 volts.
