• Job Details:My accounting experience would include the following: Processing of payment and receipts, account receivables and account payables. I raised accruals and accounted for pre-payments. I raised deferred taxation and calculated taxation payable. In my audit role I managed teams between 1 and 4 people per project. My role as team leader was to prepare the team for the audit, provide on the job training and assistance to the team. I would also perform the pre-engagement, the planning and risk assessment of the project and perform audit work as needed. Once the audit was completed I would review the file, correct what needed to be corrected, prepare the financial statements and finalise the file for submission to the company’s management and the firm partner. Once audits were completed I would have meetings with the client to discuss areas in the company where improvements could be made, changes to internal controls to improve productivity and profits. The different client industries that I was exposed to are, steel, manufacturing, food, fashion (shoes, watches), property and retail. I believe that my work experience has exposed me to numerous different accounting treatments in a variety of different industries. Therefore I believe I am able to lead and manage people as well as report to senior personnel with competence and due care. Due to my work experience and academic background I believe I am able to adapt to new accounting systems that I am not familiar with and adapt to different company processes.
