In Egypt, Jotun is a premium market leader with around 400 people spread across a number of manufacturing, logistics and office locations. Highlights: - • Clearance of a history of labor legal cases (coming from 14 cases in 2016). • Significant reduction in disciplinary cases in factory (from 200 cases in 2017 to 60 in 2020) • External employee turnover reduced from 7.7% (2016) to 3.9% (pre-covid, 2019) and to 1.8% (latest, Aug-21) • Highest departmental score in the latest climate survey (92% engaged, 85% enabled). • Development of around 15 internal trainers to deliver development workshops to their peers. • Certified internal trainer for several Jotun programs and initiated many local workshops. • Supported to assign 2 local HR team members to global and regional assignments. • Assigned to conduct HR review and deliver trainings for other Jotun units. • Assigned as coach on the regional graduate program.

• Job Details:• Founding and managing a comprehensive HR infrastructure in compliance with AkzoNobel global HR practices and Egyptian laws including: job analysis, job grading, salary scale, recruitment, policies & procedures, performance management, training & development, employee benefits, HR internal controls & compliance, employee relations, internal communication, engagement and diversity & inclusion. • Managing the HR of Dubai manufacturing site until January 2012, where the site’s management was handed over from Egypt due to a regional re-organization. • Took over administration & facilities management starting April 2012 including: fleet management, site maintenance, relevant governmental authorities’ liaison, security and housekeeping.
