• Job Details:• 1998-2004 Retail/Operational Accounting Manager: The Retail accounting department represented one third of the Operational Accounting division, and was dedicated to account for almost all telecom specific balance sheet or P&L items. It was also considered to be the back office for all direct sales activities through points of sales. Our team was comprised of five staff, and a summary of duties is as follows: • Inventory costing and valuation • Receivables aging analysis • Cash & credit card reconciliations • Revenue accounting – Air time/Deferrals • Back office reporting for sales activities • POS front end implementations and control • Main warehouse control • Retail and main warehouse count procedures • Monthly closing and analysis of accounts • ERP Systems implementations • 2004-2005 Costing Manager: Was selected to copy and deploy a network cost per minute calculation model, which was originally designed at VF UK, which required a deep understanding of various network components, related infrastructure, automated systems, as well as collecting analyzing and reconciling huge amounts of data gathered from several information and billing systems. The model was intended to serve as a guide for measuring profitability on all tariffs, as well as in pricing new products and offerings. • 2005-2006 Fraud Manager: In 2006, I came in charge of the Fraud department, which was a technical department responsible for controlling revenue leakage across all VF customer billing related systems, in addition to being responsible for monitoring and reporting all other industry related Fraud incidents. • 2006-2007 Accounts Payable Manager: Responsible for the issuance of payments to suppliers and employees both timely and accurately, and running a three ways automated matching system for checks preparation, as well as regular accounts reconciliations and follows up on old balances and related resolutions. • 2007-2008 Cash Management Manager: This role was within the Treasury department, dedicated to improving the cash position by adopting proper short-term investment techniques, reducing AR cycles and increasing collection rates.
