• Job Details:Directing organisational transformations while ensuring 100% compliance in the role of an environment, health and safety lead for GE Energy. Developing EHS policies and QA procedures for the Sabiya CCGT power plant in Kuwait as per defined industry standards. Overseeing implementation of digitalised EHS processes, thus enabling consistency, minimisation of risks and improvement of management systems. Suggesting and enabling relevant changes to existing processes and creating innovative cost-effective strategies, further decreasing environmental waste. Played a major role in simplifying an obsolete compliance system, further resulting in streamlining of operations, optimisation of efficiency and attainment of EHS standards. Surpassing defined expectations and performance targets while accomplishing H&S frameworks and regional EHS metrics objectives. Providing advice on EHS regulations/standards during implementation of major improvement programmes, including key MR/Cyclotron projects. Enforcing standardised reporting frameworks, follow-up and closure processes. Organising staff HSE management training to enhance technical knowledge of employees and ascertain high levels of safety standards. Performing inspections/audits while recommending on various work facets such as best practices and regulatory compliance as well as corrective actions to key decision-makers. Participating in global HSE forums while devising safety policies/procedures as per federal, state and local regulations. Undertaking investigations and keeping records of all accidents, near misses and loss-producing incidents to decrease risks. Reviewing statistical data to analyse EHS challenges while directing continuous improvement/performance initiatives.
