Key Contributions: • Planned, Managed, and controlled all procurement, logistics operations, warehouse, transportation, and customer service of Cairo Metro projects “Line 1 & 2 & 3” (570 million Euro + 724 million EGP Portfolios) till final turn key to end user. • Develop and manage the rosters of suppliers, elaborate supplier selection, and evaluation, quality and performance measurement mechanisms. • Managed the development and utilization of partners’ database and maintained accurate records of products, contracts, deliveries, supply, and project implementation information. • Ensure transparent and competitive procurements are conducted and properly documented as required, and in compliance with agreed plans, organizes and leads the bid solicitation process including drafting and issuing RFQ, RFP, RFI, Tenders, developing bid evaluation criteria and guiding clients on processes involved; call for and oversee selection committees to review applications and select vendors, ensures the integrity of the competitive process, facilitates bidder debriefings where necessary, and exercises appropriate judgment and tact while ensuring to protect confidential information. • Ensured that a company’s operations meet laws guidelines and adhere to import and export regulations. • Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets of the Cairo Metro Projects (Line 1 & 2 & 3). • Managed to control costs and achieved cost reduction by more than 400 million EGP. • Performing audits to ensure that cross-border shipping and business activities meet all relevant requirements. • Oversee customs entry work ensuring accurate and timely submission and follow up actions for import & export shipments. • Respond to customs authority (and all related authorities) related enquires including commodity coding, trade preference, duties, valuation and customs transit. • Develop and deliver regular progress reports / presentations to communicate status of procurement and logistics operations and driving actions within functions, keeping up to date of detailed technical, legal and operational knowledge and experience of customs and international trade legislation and requirements, especially in the Egypt, GCC, China, Korea and EU. • Seek out efficiency improvements to optimize projects’ logistics, Trade and Customs operations.
