• Job Details:- Managing a team of 30 employees carrying out the daily operation of the Ocean Freight, customs clearance activities and transportation services. - Guidance and evaluating the Ocean Freight Team - Problem Solving and coaching Team - Following up on Targets set for each team member - Negotiating rates with Shipping Lines - Making sales visits to new and existing customers, ensuring the good relations and full satisfaction - Working with operation team to identify and prioritize cost, efficiency, and quality improvement initiatives. - Support new business development by defining key requirements and identifying scope of work. - Analyzing the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes. - Recommend optimal transportation modes, routing, equipment. - Lead logistics implementation of new facilities or new client implementations - Responsible for monitoring budget and timelines related to logistics implementations. - Define required reporting and KPI’s based on operational best practices and local capabilities. - Monitor improvement initiatives to ensure expected results. - Assist operations in identifying and prioritizing local and nationwide logistics initiatives - Identify and implement cost improvement opportunities
