  • Job Details:In the summer of 2021, I secured an internship at the National Bank of Egypt (NBE), which significantly enriched my foundational understanding of the banking sector. Around the same time, I became actively involved in the CFA student activity, where I gained practical exposure to financial modeling—an experience that boosted my technical confidence and applied knowledge. To deepen my industry insights, I regularly attended panels, workshops, and expert-led sessions related to finance and banking, enabling me to learn directly from professionals and real-world case studies. Later, I joined Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait – Egypt (ABK-Egypt), where I acquired hands-on experience in diverse banking operations, including: Managing a wide range of branch operations, such as outgoing transfers, Form 4, IDCs, Letters of Guarantee (L/Gs), Letters of Credit (L/Cs), cheque stop/release procedures, and account statement issuance. Handling legal account restrictions, regulatory holds, and ensuring full compliance. Executing key data integrity tasks, including dormant CIF cleanup, ID corrections, and returned mail management. Overseeing complete processing for deceased and minor accounts, as well as CIF/account closures. Resolving customer inquiries and complaints, upholding high service levels, and meeting SLA standards. Promoting digital banking services like e-banking, mobile wallets, and supporting bancassurance cross-selling initiatives. Processing cheque clearing, payroll transactions, and managing returned/uncollected cheque operations. Coordinating issuance of balance certificates, loan settlement letters, and supporting treasury operations (bills, bonds, mutual funds). Preparing audit, compliance, and ad-hoc reports; facilitating internal transfers for delinquent secured loans and cards. Monitoring import documentation, customs release processes, and unsettled postpaid transactions. Executing foreign exchange (FX) requests through internal banking platforms. Acting as the operational link between the branch and centralized departments for various services. Handling VIP client requests, such as special rate negotiations and official communications related to tariffs, term deposits, and interest-bearing accounts.
