- Job Details:Examining and managing of cases in E.N.T. clinic and E.R. ◦ Performing ENT surgeries as per approved list of competencies. ◦ medical coordinator for the interdisciplinary team approach for war victims of Yemen and Libya ◦ focal point for quality control within the ENT department ◦ I was a part of the task force created by the hospital to make the necessary updates in SOPs and protocols for JCI and Diamond Canadian accreditations and participated in quality assurance to be a part of Mayo Clinic care network. ◦ Orientation of all new E.N.T. physician on the rules governing work in the department including medical protocols, documentation, infection control, antibiotic use policy, SOP for ordering investigation, blood transfusion and chemotherapy. On the behalf of the head of the department : ◦ Follow up of our department role in medical data management such as obtaining consents of patients for data usage when necessary, ensuring proper documentation by colleagues and also ENT medical data validation before interpretation. ◦ Communicating with material purchasing department by placing ERP order for O.R. case specific equipment when needed or critical stock level reached in certain consumables. ◦ Follow up reports submitted to the biomedical department in case of technical faults in equipment in clinic or O.R. and Cooperate with them to determine the appropriate times for regular maintenance to avoid disrupting work in the department. ◦ Yearly performance appraisal of junior registrars under supervision of head of department ◦ Setting the monthly on call schedules of both first and second respondents, management of the overlap in clinic time between physicians and organizing the clinic versus O.R. time overlaps. ◦ Assistance of the clinic manager in redistributing and rescheduling of patients in case of doctors' emergency leaves or O.R. unplanned delay to decrease patients dissatisfaction. ◦ Revision and approval of all ENT medical reports .
