Job Details:• Gained broad knowledge on how to build a ship, as well knowing all the steps of the procedure. • Learned about design departments. • Role of design department in shipyard. • Difference between previous built ships and current projects. • General introduction about how the process of drawings review is done. • Introduction about ship electricity. • Saw the bending machines and rollers. • Went to a workshop and learned how ships ar protected from rust. • Attended classic control lectures, learned the main components of power and control circuits, and saw all the different control devices.

Job Details:I had the opportunity to participate in the URCD (Utilities, Repair, and Construction Division) during my internship, where I saw the different workshops that divide the maintenance and repair work that take place in the factory among themselves such as the Hydraulic, Electrical repair, Assembly, Machining, Fabrication workshops. I also had the opportunity to learn about and see the utilities used in the company which were the Water and Gas utilities. I learned how they work and I learned how their maintenance are carried out. In addition to practical experience on mechanical design and mechanical drawings interpretation, along with hand on experience on the different maintenance strategies and condition monitoring of machines that require repair using preventive and predictive maintenance by implementing advanced methods of detection such as vibration detecting devices.
