• Job Details:• Develop, plan and lead the logistics and distribution strategy, delivering on cost, quality and service objectives across transportation, shipping network, supply channels, and distribution centers • Research and identify best practices and trends, prioritize and select appropriate projects, lead in identifying risks, developing complex mitigation strategies, defining best practices and alternative solutions, driving standardization and controls, and resolving issues in collaboration with cross-functional and/or corporate teams. • Liaise with counterparts at supplier and buyer level to coordinate shipments. • Negotiate and achieve the lowest rates for freight, inspection, and insurance to streamline trading books and maximize cost savings. • Handle insurance claims. • Ensure that all contracts are executed without deviation. • Prepare import-export documentation for multiple accounts in various stages of completion, in a highly time-sensitive environment. • Initiate timely invoicing and work closely with the accounting department to ensure billing accuracy. • Ensure that all purchased and delivered commodities are according to the agreed specs • Build strong relationships with our factories and suppliers, ensuring a continuous long-term partnership. • Oversee all purchase orders, adjust purchase patterns, and monitor shipment and production schedules to meet responsibilities. • Drive the business and program strategy and vision for Supply Chain, developing short, medium, and long-term features. • Develop and execute best practices in the supply chain (procurement, inventory management, and logistics) from sourcing to delivery. • Own and drive key operational goals and the project roadmap, driving prioritization and trade-off decisions within and outside of the team. • Represent Supply Chain with Senior Leadership and other stakeholders, executing a communications strategy, highlighting program successes, failures, lessons learned, and risk/mitigation plans in a timely fashion, as an owner. • Track quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs, and efficiency • Meet cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets
