• Job Details:• Develop business by gaining new contracts, analyzing logistic problems and producing new solutions. • Conducting interviews with vendors, negotiating supplier agreements and managing supplier and vendor contracts. • Investigating and planning the most appropriate route for a shipment, taking account of the perishable or hazardous nature of the goods, cost, transit time and security. • Reviewing LC’s and ensures the matching of the documents and delivery terms with its requirements, following up with the finance department to complete the process of the goods delivery. • Responsible for arranging appropriate packing, taking account of climate, terrain, and weight, nature of goods and cost, and the delivery and warehousing of goods at their final destination. • Negotiating contracts, transportation and handling costs. • Obtaining, checking and preparing documentation to meet customs and insurance requirements, packing specifications, and compliance with other countries' regulations and fiscal regimes. • Maintaining current knowledge of relevant legislation, political situations and other factors that could affect the movement of the goods from and to the company. • Training, coaching and motivating my own team to perform and achieve our main goals. • Develop relationships with transportation companies, the Factory and production managers to understand their needs as if they are customers. • Communicating with the appropriate people in a company, from the general manager to workers in the distribution facilities in order to ensure that his or her strategies work within desired parameters.
