Achievements
I have an unusually wide range of experience in education. For over two decades I have been teaching students of widely differing cultures, ability ranges and ages. My career has mirrored this diversity, both in terms of sector: college, university, school; as well as location: London, Cairo and elsewhere. In addition, I have been able to teach a varied range of subjects in the humanities and social sciences including English, Sociology and History. Most recently (2016-18) I have been teaching English, History and Sociology to GCSE and A Level students at the British School, Rehab, Cairo. With focused teaching and extra revision sessions more than 75% of my students achieved A/B grades. For those with whom I have worked I am known as a personable and approachable professional who is always prepared to make an extra effort in teaching students. I have a strong command of English, good classroom management as well as tested experience in effective teaching and learning strategies.
