We are thrilled to have won second place in the "Belmasry Tech" hackathon, organized by the Ministry of Communications and ITI. The competition brought together tech enthusiasts from across Egypt to solve real-world problems. Our project, Tashkeel, was recognized for its innovation in simplifying Arabic text diacritization. Tashkeel is an app that automatically adds diacritics (tashkeel) to unvowelled Arabic text. Users can upload images, type, speak, or use their camera, and the app handles the rest using technologies like CATT Model, speech recognition, and Tesseract OCR. This tool is ideal for Arabic learners, educators, and anyone needing quick, accurate text diacritization.
