Currently I have just been allocated to Egypt after 8 years working in Gulf (Oman) in international schools. Last academic year I was filling the position of a Science and Chemistry Teacher at ABQ AZZAN BIN QAIS International School, Muscat . I specialize in teaching science for grade 7 & 8 years checkpoint stage and I am a certified cambridge teacher –As well as being specialized in teaching Chemistry specifically years 9, 10 and 11. Being a versatile educator, I have also taken the opportunity to instruct a wide variety of students from various backgrounds and facets of society. As a result, I am a compassionate teacher who employs effective listening, provides individual and whole group support, integrates multicultural teaching units, and offers positive encouragement and reinforcement to both – my students and co workers – to keep them focused and motivated. I have integrated interdisciplinary methodologies which incorporate English language in teaching Science and Chemistry for students. Hence, I can confidently say that my language command is efficient enough to be dealing with international students, and colleagues. I have increased students' interest in learning more about their curriculum and exhibited professional performance in handling some student's behavioral problems in the framework of the school's code of conduct through all extracurricular activities I start. I successfully increased student's academic level, encouraged them to take part in class participation and activities as well as speaking up for themselves. I am usually tasked with presenting educational material to students and have been able to enforce administration policies and rules governing students within an understanding and tolerant framework. I am always assigned to grade homework and examinations, and compute and analyze results, utilizing answer sheets or electronic marking devices. The most important duty was observing students' performance, and recording relevant data to assess progress. On the other hand, my work as Head of Science department at ABQ allowed me to excel in my teaching skills and implement it through all the department members . I was able to create a positive learning environment for students and a positive environment for teachers . We as a team were able to achieve high IGCSE and A levels results in the 3 sciences . During my work as a HOD and teacher, I also formed cooperative learning groups, organized individualized projects, created learning centers, and implemented learning style research in every lesson. Alternative assessment methods, such as portfolios, rubrics and performance assessments, in combination with traditional tests, enabled me to evaluate the students individually and comprehensively. In both - my student teaching and tutoring experiences - I met with parents to keep them apprised of their child’s accomplishments and areas needing extra attention.
