• Job Details:• Coaches, counsels, mentors, trains vocational students and advises for the dual goals of meeting organizational goals, students’ goals and employee career development. • Counsel on DEI and cultural awareness in the workplace. • Career development counseling for the underprivileged demographic student population. • Student conduct advisement to ensure proper transition from academical to professional setting. • Provides basic cognitive behavioral therapy for the purpose of reducing anxiety utilizing breathing, meditation and yoga techniques. • Interpret, develop, communicate, update, and/or monitor ordinances, policies, procedures, and standards for the department of education; recommend improvement when necessary for college prep and standardized SAT/ACT testing purposes. • Planning and implementing short-term, long-term, or annual goals, objectives, structure, and strategies, to ensure students success in future planning of education and professional careers goals. • Implement policies to ensure compliance with the state of Texas federal, state, and county policies, procedures, and laws. • Compiles and prepares data at the request of college counsel. • Ensures quality standards and compliance with regulations are maintained. • Offer feedback on policies, procedures and applicable laws including interviewing, hiring and training, planning, assigning and directing work; establishing deadlines; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
