Responsible for negotiation & purchasing of the goods, production and non production goods, with local and international suppliers. Responsible for putting all long term and big volume contracts into tendering for achieving best price. Responsible for contracts execution, big volumes and long term deals, as per contract terms. Responsible for suppliers qualification, development and regular evaluation for quality and delivery on time performance. Responsible for all non production agreements for short and long term agreements. Analyzing all supply chain activities on quarter basis and issuing recommendations for improvement based on analysis results. Working closely with commercial sector for cost optimization. Monitoring and evaluating prices closely to minimize risks of exceeding raw material budget. Responsible for all inbound material as well as outbound finished products. Preparing AOP for Purchasing in terms of quantities, prices, cash flow in line with suppliers contracts and cost saving plan. Achievements Restructured and transformed supply chain function from a single-plant to a central multi-plant operation; improved communication channels and workflow between different supply chain activities. Reduced Supply Chain function manpower from 160 FTEs to 84 FTEs as a result of the sector re-structuring with same scope of work and responsibilities. Developed the logistics operating model to be more effective through creating partnerships with shipping suppliers as well as developing new transport suppliers. Achieved significant cost savings/avoidance of USD 2.5 million through negotiating new deals with existing & newly introduced suppliers which improved profitability. Leveraged my experience and personal network in the Algerian market to build strong business relations for supporting the business in Egypt which resulted in creating a new company branch in Algeria.
