Finance Internal Auditor InternInternship

• Job Details:I am currently doing my 2-year internship at the Durban EThekwini Municipality. I am an internal audit finance intern in the finance and operations department, where I deal primarily with the finances of the city. I have been with the municipality for a year now, and have participated in various projects. Some of the audit projects that I worked on are: • Roads Audit • Interim Financial Statement Review • Financial Sustainability • Arrears Management (credit control) • Electricity Other projects include: • Methodology Work Stream • Occupational Health and Safety • Internal Audit Framework Within that year I have worked with projects, as stated above, in different units namely, the expenditure unit, assets and revenue management unit. I have attended a training held by the treasury unit on GRAP and training in Microsoft Word. I have also attended a training at South African Revenue Services (SARS) on the Basic Principles of Taxation.
