• Job Details:Gained an overview of flat steel production processes and the sequence of steel processing units. Introduction to the electric arc furnace (EAF) for melting direct reduced iron (DRI). Learned about the continuous casting process and the function of the caster in pouring molten steel. Gained insight into surface finishing processes such as skin pass, cut-to-length, slitting, and pickling. Understood the laminar cooling system and its role in controlling the final steel microstructure.
