• Job Details:Logistics Specialist: ● Revise the Proforma Invoice and ensure that it is complete, signed and stamped before starting the logistics process. ● Compare and negotiate shipping line rates, select the best shipping route and issue booking confirmations as per company policy or client special requests. ● Select containers as per the criteria set in the company policy (ex: heavy duty container) ● Make arrangements with the customs clearance specialist to facilitate the passage of the shipment through customs. ● Ensure that the container has been picked up safely to the port in coordination with the custom clearance specialist. ● Arrange for the transportation of the shipment from warehouse to port. ● Upload electronic files on shipping website accurately. ● Send shipment file to client through bank, get shipment number from the bank and communicate all related information with the sales team. ● Inform sales and warehouse teams of shipment information such as shipping dates and any anticipated delays throughout the process. ● Maintain current knowledge of relevant legislation, political situations, or other factors that could affect freight shipping. ● Track all shipments to make sure they ship on time ● Direct escalation to managers for export & custom clearance issues ● Resolve problems concerning shipping, transportation or custom clearance. Operations Specialist: • Receive client request from sales department, issue the job order and develop project plan accordingly. • Break projects into doable actions and set timeframes. • Assign tasks to internal teams (production, logistics and warehouse) and monitor their performance. • Review the plan regularly to ensure that tasks and milestones are being achieved in a timely manner. • Monitor project progress and handle any issues that might arise. • Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants. • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation. • Prepare projects status reports to show the compliance to the project plan. • Collect customer satisfaction survey results and recommend solutions accordingly.
