• Job Details:Good knowledge, familiarity, commitment, and implementation of Egyptian laws and regulations related to occupational safety in the facility. Ensure that all workers in the facility are using suitable personal protection equipment. Performing of risk assessment, assessment, and analysis for all lab hazards, equipment, and procedures in the facility. Conduct periodic tours to ensure the implementation of general safety procedures and policies in the labs. Reporting any complaints, incidents, accidents, and violations regarding occupational safety and submitting them to the supervisor for further investigation. Execution of preventive actions to avoid the recurrence of any safety accidents and findings. Documenting safety records and reports. Making and documenting the regular measuring and recording of any environmental contaminants or pollutants in the workplace and working on their reduction or prevention. Execution of safety training for lab researchers, technicians, and student orientation. Assist with the safety team in the emergency evacuation drills training. Assist in updating the facility safety policies, regulations, checking forms, safety signs, and work permits. Supervising the safe disposal of lab hazardous waste in Zewail City. Member of the animal research ethics committee at Zewail City of Science & Technology. Check with the committee members that animal research is conducted according to the ethics and regulations of using animals in research in Zewail City. Providing animals in the animal facility with standard environmental conditions (caring, handling, feeding...) and ensuring these standards are applied. Applying standard safety measures in the animal facility for the animals & researchers. Ensuring the absence of any biohazards in the animal facility & monitoring the safety measures are applied correctly.
