• Job Details:•Managing Nuclear Power Plant Authority Cyber Security department with the mission and resources to assist in ensuring Authority compliance with relevant information and nuclear security standards and regulations, safeguarding an Authority's information assets. •Protecting NPPA information and information systems in terms of confidentiality, integrity and availability through security planning, managing risk assessment processes and strengthening and developing department resources with objective to constantly improve information & cyber security posture of the organization. • Develop, implement and monitor a strategic, comprehensive enterprise information security and IT risk management program. • Work directly with the business units to facilitate risk assessment and risk management processes Develop and enhance an information security management framework. Monitor channels through which information flows into and out of an organization’s information network. •Responsible for observing all of the operations occurring across the network and managing the infrastructure that facilitates those operations. (Implementing software upgrades when necessary and performing maintenance and upkeep on computer hardware systems). •Provide leadership and guidelines on information assurance security expertise for the site part of Authority, working effectively with strategic organizational functions such as legal experts and technical support to provide authoritative advice and guidance on the requirements for security controls. • Participate in formulating and setting effective information & cyber security strategies consistent with the business and competitive strategy for the site part of the organization. • Prepare NPPA Cyber Security department budget, and monitors financial performance versus the budget to ensure alignment. • Managing Plant Cyber Security processes: site infrastructure security, industrial systems security, risk and compliance, setting and enforcing policies and procedures, security planning, developing and improving information security architecture, monitoring and intelligence, and assurance and testing. • Ensures that there are appointed resources for managing Plant Cyber Security programs and projects within the department (e.g. cyber programs, compliance, information classification, security operations center, forensics projects and similar) • Manage and implement complex programs from contract /proposal initiation to final operational stage. • Contribute to the development of Egyptian National employees in a manner which supports the objectives of the corporation and its Emiratization strategy. • Leads and manage all SOC (Cyber Security Operation Center) team and cybersecurity professionals to protect the NPPA digital assets from cyberattacks. • Oversee the team, ensure everyone is trained, motivated and effectively working together, this involves everything from hiring new team members to conducting performance evaluations and providing ongoing training and development. • Training and managing SOC staff and ensure that the team has the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively detect, analyze and respond to security incidents. • Providing regular training sessions and mentorship opportunities to facilitate knowledge-sharing within the team. • Hiring new staff members or contracting outside services to supplement team's capabilities when needed. • Developing and implementing security policies by reviewing nuclear facility standards and working closely with other departments to understand their security needs. • Establishing SOC performance goals and priorities and Improving incident response times by reducing false positives and other extraneous alerts and enhancing threat detection capabilities • Overseeing SOC activities, ensure they focus on the right priorities, reviewing cyber security team's performance metrics, incident reports and other key indicators. • Managing SOC tools and resources, evaluating latest technologies that may be beneficial. • Leading incident response efforts When a security incident occurs, by establishing clear incident response procedures and protocols and conveying them to the team. • Analyzing incident reports identify patterns and trends that may indicate weaknesses or vulnerabilities in NPPA security defenses, by reviewing incident or threat frequency, severity and duration data, works with other departments to identify the root causes of security incidents and develop strategies to mitigate these risks. • Serving as POC for security incidents (point of contact) for security incidents within NPPA, and the primary liaison between the SOC team, other internal stakeholders, and external parties such as vendors, clients or regulatory bodies, government agencies, civil defense and police.
