Head of EYFS and Early Years Teacher / Safeguarding Lead

• Job Details:Develop and review the early years curriculum, policies and initiatives. Leading and overseeing early years planning with regard to curriculum expectations. Establish and maintain regular communications with headteacher and work closely with other leadership team members to draw up, implement, monitor and evaluate the school improvement plan in respect of early years. Monitor and evaluate learning and teaching in early years through looking at learning environments, planning, talking to students and visiting lessons. Ensure the safeguarding of all students. Ensure the curriculum supports and develops children’s independence. Take responsibility for ensuring high quality teaching provision throughout the EYFS. Ensure curricular policy development is focused on continuous improvement. Ensure all EYFS children are able to learn and achieve to the best of their abilities and that they make good progress from their starting points. Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children and staff. Training staff on safeguarding. Making sure policies and child protection files are up to date. Liaising with key agencies and board members.

Head of Primary and EYFS

• Job Details:Assist the headteacher in shaping a vision and direction for the school, setting out very high expectations and with a clear focus on pupil achievement. Take responsibility for developing and monitoring policy and practice as laid down in the school improvement plan and in agreement with the headteacher. Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and standards of pupil’s achievement and use benchmarks and set targets for school improvement. Be involved in ‘lesson study’ with other members of staff to raise pupil’s standards of achievement and to evaluate practice. Work with the headteacher to lead, motivate, support, challenge and develop all staff to secure continual improvement including his/her own continual professional development. Support the headteacher to lead in performance management of all teaching staff. Work with the headteacher to deliver an appropriate programme of professional development for all staff including quality coaching and mentoring, in line with the school improvement plan and performance management. Provide an exciting, stimulating and creative curriculum. Take whole school assemblies when required.

Head of EYFS and Reception Teacher

• Job Details:Maintain an effective partnership with parents to support and improve pupil achievement and personal development. Be a leading practitioner, modelling effective methodology and practice to inspire early years team members. Lead, manage and evaluate the delivery of high quality teaching and learning in the early years. Ensure the school curriculum is of an excellent quality through regular review and evaluation. Monitor the quality of teaching and learning, ensuring the highest standards are in place for all year groups. Hold accountability for standards achieved across early years. Have due regard for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and to follow the child protection procedures adopted by the school. Ensure high quality and effective assessment of pupils across the early years and through the completion of the early years foundation stage profile.
